Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 22, 2026
South Loop Studios ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you interact with our website and the Tinta application.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Contact information: such as your name and email address when you contact us or complete forms.
- Technical information: such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and usage data when you browse our website.
- Application data: Tinta is a native Mac application. Your invoices, quotes, letters, and business data are stored locally on your device. We do not collect, access, or store your document data.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Tinta AI
Tinta includes an optional AI assistant powered by Mistral AI, an EU-based artificial intelligence company. When you enable Tinta AI:
- Invoice data (such as client names, amounts, and dates) is sent to Mistral AI's servers for processing in order to generate responses to your queries.
- All data is processed within the European Union. No data is transferred outside the EU.
- Data is used solely to generate your requested response and is not stored by Mistral after processing.
- Your data is never used to train AI models, in accordance with Mistral AI's API terms of service.
Tinta AI is disabled by default. You must explicitly enable it in Settings and provide your own Mistral API key. You can disable AI at any time — when disabled, no data is sent to any external service. The core Tinta application (invoicing, quotes, letters, and client management) functions entirely offline without any external data processing.
